Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a hard time writing a post without pictures considering this is a blog to show my photographs, but I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope that everyone had a wonderful day and got a belly full of turkey!

Carrie Underwood and Little Big Town

On Saturday November 22nd, I went to the Carrie Underwood concert in Billings. It was pretty exciting because I had won my tickets only three weeks before the show and along with the tickets, I won a backstage pass for a meet and greet before the show. There was about 25 people that got to go backstage before the show to have their picture taken with Carrie and something autographed. I was all ready to take a bunch of pictures while she was signing things, but right before she came in, we were informed that we weren't allowed to do that. It had happened in the past and I guess it got out of control, so they no longer let people. It was a neat experience. She was very soft spoken and sweet when I got to meet her. My mom went and found our seats before the show, so after I was done backstage and I went and found her. I knew we had good seats, but as it turns out we had great seats. We were only three seats away from the catwalk which allowed for me to take up close pictures. First we watched Little Big Town and then Carrie came out and put on a great show. The show lasted a full three hours. It was a very memorable night. The only thing...As I sit here and type, I realize that I didn't include the most important picture, the picture with Carrie. I am writing this away from home and my pictures, so I will add it once I get home. Enjoy and I will save the best for a little later!

I know these next two pics aren't the best, but I think that they turned out so neat with the light shining on her. It made for a cool effect!

Monforton Wildcats

On Monday, we got the chance to take the boys basketball photos for Monforton School. There were about 20 boys all ready for us. Since this was our first year for sports pictures, we experimented a little trying to figure out what poses would be the best. All in all, I think they turned out pretty well. Now that we have one season under our belts, the girls will be that much easier. We are looking forward to taking more sports pictures and adding them to our portfolio. Enjoy!

Halloween Night

We decided to take Mallory out for her first trick or treating. Most of the downtown stores do a trick or treating for kids so that parents have a safe area to take their kids. Since we live close to there, we decided to walk up. Mallory hung out in her stroller and we went to a few of the stores and got some candy. She seemed to enjoy it. People got a kick out of our costumes, but the one question was 'Where is the ketchup?' Brent said that he didn't want to dress up, so it was just a little hot dog and a bottle of mustard. Later that night we took Mallory to her grandparents house. She needed just a few more pieces of candy! Brent and I had plans to go out later that night, so I finally able to convince him to dress up. Still no ketchup, but I got a hockey player instead. Mallory's first Halloween was great! We all had a fun day and night!

A Week for of Halloween Fun!

Since Mallory has been born, I have been trying to keep up with all her firsts. There are the staples like first smile and first laugh, but then there are the holiday firsts. Since she was born in June, there hasn't been too much for the holiday scene. Sure we had the 4th of July, but now we are starting to get into the holiday spirit and what better way to start then a week full of fun. Last year I was looking at baby costumes and had picked out the one I wanted. With no baby at the time, there was no sense in buying one. Then, I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of October, so when the costumes went on sale and we were telling people about our new addition, I decided to buy the costume. Boy or girl, our baby was going to be a Hot Dog! I loved the outfit. Along with the hot dog, I bought a onesie just to have. Well, with grandparents and hand me downs, we ended up having a whole weeks worth of Halloween clothes. I decided why not put a different outfit on her each day and have some mini photo shoots. I enjoyed it and I think she did too!
