First Christmas Tree

Saturday afternoon we decided to go Christmas tree hunting. I remember going when I was a little girl and since Brent and I have been married, we haven't gone. We've just gone and bought one from a vendor. We decided that we should start cutting down our own because not only is it less expensive, its more fun. Since we have Mallory, we wanted to start the tradition with her. I strapped her in the Moby and we hiked a little ways up a hill in Highlight. It didn't take us too long to find our tree. We have to keep it on the smaller side, so when we found one, Brent got to work. Mallory loves being outside, so she enjoyed it, even the few times that I had to sit down in the snow to keep from falling. We are definitely looking forward to the years ahead when she can enjoy getting out and playing in the snow. Hopefully this will be a tradition that continues for many years to come.

Big Girl Sitting Up

Mallory is now six months old and is becoming such a big girl. The other night I put her in her crib and was letting her play with a new toy for a bit. I went in to check on her and she was just sitting there, entertaining herself. I was amazed at how well she was sitting up. I decided it would be a great photo op to show everyone how big she is getting and to show off her two teeth. She is understanding that when she sees a camera, she is supposed to smile. And does she ever! I can't wait until her teeth are a little bit bigger. Her smile will be that much cuter!

Uh Oh! Mom caught me!

Look at how big I'm getting!

Won't Give Up the Toy

Mallory was so tired one morning that I put her in her swing to lull her to sleep, but I let her hold on to a rattle. Sure enough, she fell right asleep, but didn't let go of the toy. I guess that's what happens when you can barely keep your eyes open. I just thought she was so cute sleeping holding onto her rattle.

Carrie Underwood...Again

Okay, so now that I'm back home and have access to my photos, I can finally add the picture of Carrie and I. She looks almost too perfect in this picture, like I'm standing next to a wax figure of her, but she's the real deal. Again, she was a sweet girl and it was an great evening!
