Baby in a Pumpkin

When I picked out our pumpkin this year, I picked it out hoping that I could get the baby into it. I picked out one that weighed about 15 pounds and was big enough around for her little bottom. The only thing was making sure that I cut the opening big enough to slide her in. Sure enough, I did just that. On Saturday I took some pictures of my little pumpkin, in her pumpkin. We started the photo shoot in a pile of leaves. That was fun, but all she wanted to do was eat the leaves. I could barely get her to look at me. Then we moved into the pumpkin. It was okay for about five minutes and then she was not happy. Luckily we got a few good shots of her. I absolutely love them! Hope you all like them.

Pumpkin Carving

Last night I was invited to a pumpkin carving party at my friends Jordan and Andy's place. There was about 15 people there all ready to carve up their favorite image on their pumpkin. The night started with a yummy taco bar and then the pumpkins came out. Some decided to freehand their face, some of us used the patterns that come with the kits and some took the artsy approach and did no face at all. There were a few tools that got broken due to the large and thick pumpkins we were trying to carve, but some were smart and brought the power tools to blast through those thick walls. By the end of the evening we had created an array of fancy pumpkins and had a great time doing it. Thank you to Jordan and Andy for having this wonderful party! Hopefully we can make this a yearly tradition.

Poor Red Sox

On Sunday night we were all watching the Red Sox and the Rays play game 7 of the ALCS. If you live in this house, you are a fan of the Sox. From the day Mallory was born, actually since our honeymoon, it was decided that our kids would be Red Sox fans. We spent our honeymoon in Boston, attending two games and bringing back baby outfits for our children. We have a going-home-from-the-hospital outfit in both pink and blue. Mallory wore her's home and wore it again on Sunday. It finally fits, so I decided to take some pictures of her. Well, her expressions reflect the way the game went. At first it was happy, but steadily became frustrated and upset. Our poor Red Sox lost and no one was happy to see it happen.

Go Sox!

The game is okay so far.

Not too sure where this game is headed.

Oh Man! I am not happy. My Red Sox lost!!!

First Cereal

A week ago I took Mallory to the doctor. It was time for her four month check-up and shots. Everything checked out well. She weighed 15lbs 4oz and was 25 inches long. She is hitting all of her milestones and is in the 75th percentile for both height and weight. We have a very healthy little girl. It was at this appointment that her doctor said that we could start her on cereal. I was thinking that we would just put a little in the bottle and maybe that would help her sleep through the night, but the doctor said to feed her with a spoon at dinner time. We did and what a mess we made! Due to it being a first, we had to take pictures. She really enjoyed it! It is getting a little better at each feeding, but still we make a mess. Even with this messy face, she is still super cute!

Such a big girl in her bumbo chair!

I love cereal!!!!

Old Faithful

My husband, Brent, works out at Monforton School as a 7th grade teacher. Every year he and the 8th grade teacher take their students to Yellowstone. At the end of September, they took his 7th graders. He decided to take the camera to get some pictures for school and good thing he did. Their first stop was at Old Faithful. I haven't been to Old Faithful since I was four and the only thing that I remember was burning my tongue on hot chocolate! Not the best memory of such a great place. Well, Brent managed to catch the geyser erupting and the shots are so neat because they are a progression of the eruption. I hope you like them. I do because it reminds me of what I forgot.

Jordan & Andy's Wedding Day

On Saturday September 20th, my friend Jordan got married to Andy. The ceremony was a beautiful one that took place at Holy Rosary. The day had started off warm and sunny and shortly after the ceremony, it began to rain. The rain lifted in time for the reception, but then began to storm. They say that rain on a wedding day brings luck, so these two should definitely have their fill. Andy is a guide in the Bozeman area and both enjoy fly fishing, so it was fitting that they had their reception at the Gallatin River Lodge and did a little fly fishing in the pond out back. They even had a trout cake. After the rain, the sky cleared up and was a wonderful evening full of dancing. We wish these two the best in the years to come. Congratulations!
